Sabel Security Boxed Set 1 Book Review:

Veteran Jacob Stearne and athlete Pia Sabel are all that stands between right — and a world full of deadly wrongs. The pair takes on corrupt politicians, rogue corporations, and terrorists in three novels ripped from tomorrow’s headlines. Join over 100,000 readers riveted by nearly 1,000 pages of murder, betrayal, rogues, and traitors. From the madness unveiled in ELEMENT 42, through destructive forces in DEATH AND DARK MONEY, to Americans who would use terrorists to push their political agenda in DEATH AND THE DAMNED, you’ll love the irresistible characters, the chilling masterminds, and tense circumstances. As one VineVoice reviewer said, “I could not put this book down.” Jacob Stearne was a killing machine for the Army until he started listening to Mercury, winged messenger of the Roman gods. Now he works for Sabel Security. This irresistible hero is definitely lethal—but is he divinely guided, completely insane, or the next rampage killer? Ever since Pia Sabel witnessed her parents’ murders, she’s been looking for ways to eliminate the corrupt and murderous. When her adopted father hands her the keys to a security company staffed with battle-scarred veterans, she discovers her calling as an avenging angel. Book #1 - ELEMENT 42: When a drug company tests a deadly disease only their patented drug can cure, overconfident heiress Pia Sabel and unstable veteran Jacob Stearne are all that stands between right and deadly wrong. Chapter 1: The voice in my head returned when I stopped taking my meds. My caseworker said the voice was part of my condition—PTSD-induced schizophrenia—but I call him Mercury, the winged messenger of the gods, and a damn good friend. Book #2 – DEATH AND DARK MONEY: Can a female athlete and a legendary veteran work with terrorist financiers to unravel a web of money and murder in time to save the country? Chapter 1: Brent Zola waited in a Washington DC diner on a frozen January evening, surrounded by the greasy smell of fries and the sharp clatter of dishes, unaware he was witnessing his best friend’s last hour of life. Book #3 – DEATH AND THE DAMNED: Why would a billionaire smuggle terrorists into the country? The next riveting thriller from sensational author Seeley James featuring the unrivaled heroine Pia Sabel and the legendary veteran Jacob Stearne asks the question: who can you trust? Chapter 1: Who to trust is the scariest decision we make in life. I grabbed him by the hair, pulled his head back, and, cheek-to-cheek, we contemplated the sparkling stars dotting the moonless Syrian sky. I sensed his eyeballs strain all the way to the right to look at me. His fingernails dug into my forearm. Anxiety caused him to miss the grandeur of the moment. Too bad. It was stunningly beautiful. You don’t see that many stars from over-lit American cities. But I tired of our two-second relationship and drew my blade across his throat, severing his carotid artery and larynx before he could scream a warning to the others. I dropped his carcass on the other jihadi at my feet. Unmatched in scope and depth, Sabel Security thrillers throw you into a unique world that kidnaps you on the opening pages and won’t release you until the end. Read one, and you’ll yearn for more. From the master of thrilling adventure comes the latest novel in a landmark series unlike anything you’ve read before. With Sabel Security, Seeley James has launched a groundbreaking world, combining psychological, political, and action thrills in a continuing epic. Mystery, loss, intrigue, humor, romance, and adventure fill the pages of these magnificent stories.

Death and Deception Book Review:

Decorated former Ranger Jacob Stearne must discover why secret cabals are willing to kill for an ancient artifact in the newest addition to Seeley James’s sensational Sabel Security series. Jacob and his fiancé Jenny, plan their future during their adventure deep in the Yucatán to repatriate a Mayan artifact. Together they hope to leave the past behind them and start anew. They arrive at the remote excavation site only to have one expert declare their stone age carving a fake and another call it the destroyer of civilizations. While the power of myth is debatable, Jacob and Jenny’s good intentions quickly turn dangerous when a murderous executioner comes in search of their relic. Three warring secret societies draw Jacob ever deeper into their competing beliefs forcing him to choose sides. Then a series of events leave him mystified: a hostage who doesn’t want to be rescued; freedom fighters who sabotage his efforts; and a professor who reveals far too little of the ancient lore. Everyone wants his help, but no one will tell him why. Sifting through unreliable alliances, Jacob must determine whose cause is just and whose is a myth. As Jacob peels back layers of sinister sects, he uncovers plots against the world’s largest economies. With tight security by the finest police, he leaves it to the experts. But his deep concerns lead to a revelation. How can he explain a threat posed an archaic legend without sounding insane? Jacob will need to marshal his extraordinary Ranger skills, and to enlist help from both friends and enemies alike, to root out a diabolically evil plan … before the few remaining democracies lose their freedoms. The latest installment in Seeley James’s highly acclaimed Sabel Security series, this international adventure races from Mayan temples to Chicago mansions to a nail-biting ice climb on the tallest mountain in Germany. Bring It Book Review:

Before the bestselling Sabel Security series featuring Jacob Stearne and Mercury, Pia Sabel took over the company and ran into trouble. Sabel Origins #2, Bring It, chronicles that time Jacob, still on his meds, was tasked with saving the boss. When Pia Sabel is abducted after trying to bust a ring of deviant criminals, it’s up to veteran agent Jacob Stearne to navigate the dark web of deceit and lies to save her from her torturous captors. Pia Sabel expected a little recognition after she liberated a pedophile resort in Sri Lanka, not a State Department inquisition. Forced to play the deadliest game of her life, she finds molested children used in a new version of “enhanced interrogation tactics”. Putting herself in danger to save the innocent, her overconfidence leads to agonizing torment. Sabel Agent Jacob Stearne and his team of decorated veterans have lived through warzone horrors but nothing could have prepared them for the ugly reality they uncover. Fending off accusations of treason and terrorism, Jacob unravels a network of ambitious appointees and black-budget contractors to discover who is responsible for some of the most horrific crimes against humanity. Praise for Seeley James A fine thriller with intriguing locations, intricate plot twists and a complex heroine. – Kirkus Reviews I loved the character of Pia Sabel – there’s a girl Charlie Fox would team up with any day! -- Zoe Sharp, author of the Charlie Fox novels Seeley James has created a protagonist that is strong and yet conflicted. -- PJReviewofBooks.com I fell in love with the characters and can’t get enough of them … I felt every ounce of rage and desperation. -- CarolAnn Review An excellent fast moving action thriller -- Eric Crown, Founder of F500 company, Insight Enterprises Once I started reading, it was hard to put down. Can't wait for the next adventure! -- Robert Manning, Amazon "PTSD sufferer Jacob Stearne and his mythical Roman god Mercury take the reader on a fierce, unforgettable adventure." --Bill K. Yucatan Review Interview with Seeley James from DigiWriting.com DW: Do readers really compare Pia and Jacob to other literary heroes and heroines? SJ: I’ve heard Pia Sabel compared to Jack Reacher many times because she’s a straight-forward, no-nonsense heroine who beats the crap out of people. Recently, I’ve heard Jacob Stearne in the same breath as Stephanie Plum because of his whacky lifestyle and romantic problems. It’s appropriate because he’s our comic-relief character. DW: What is your favorite book of all time? How has it influenced you and your writing? I don’t have just one. One Shot by Lee Child, because it has such an intricate set of clues, ranks right up there with First Drop by Zoe Sharp, because she nailed the teenagers with incredible insight and humor. DW: Did you always want to be a writer or did you fall into the profession? I was nineteen and single when I adopted a three-year-old girl and raised her (More about that on my site, http://seeleyjames.com/about/ ). Kids need a lot of money and attention, so I worked in the upwardly mobile tech industry. Later in life, my career afforded me the ability to take a huge risk. DW: Which authors have had a profound impact on your writing? SJ: Gillian Flynn because she thinks way outside the Agatha Christie formula. Janet Evanovich because her books are just plain fun. J. D. Robb (aka Nora Roberts) has some phenomenal writing techniques. Daniel Silva, Harlan Coben, Russell Blake, John Sandford, James Rollins, A. G. Riddle, Lance Charnes, the list just goes on and on…

The Morpheus Decision Book Review:

Who killed Chloe England? When a friend from her days in international soccer, now a British constable, is murdered, Pia Sabel uncovers an assassination ring catering to the ultra-rich – putting her dead center in their crosshairs. For most of her life, Pia Sabel worked through the pain of losing her parents, threw herself into her work, and lived with insomnia. Now her doctor warns growing paranoia will soon threaten her mental health. She escapes to rural England to mourn the loss of her friend. On arrival, she is attacked by a mob, dismissed by officials, and ridiculed by high society for inquiring about an English Lord and a British institute. The more people tell her not to ask questions, the more she questions their motives. Unconquered and unafraid, she investigates the murder and exposes a well-connected web of billionaire suspects. Along the way, she touches a nerve, bringing down an avalanche of killers on top of her. Unable to trust anyone, from the handsome Scot she wants to know better to Britain’s titled class, she must unravel the clues before more victims land in the morgue. Peeling back the layers of deceit, lies and cover-ups, Pia finally discovers the truth about who killed Chloe England. A revelation sure to endanger everyone she loves. ★★★★★ Praise for Seeley James’ Sabel Security series Makes me think of a modern Agatha Christie with an ass-kicking heroine with a thriller ending instead of a fussy Belgian in a drawing room – Melissa K. A rock-solid, tension-filled ride that is completely entertaining all the way through. -- Ruthie ruthiejones.com Long before David Baldacci came up with Atlee Pine, we had Pia Sabel, who proves once again to be the best — David Gormer Plenty of edge of the seat suspense, a splash of well-timed humor, and adventures that leave you wanting more — Susan Gainoutdinov You can feel them facing evil, staring it in the face and saying, "Bring it on!" — Ann Graham I loved the character of Pia Sabel – there’s a girl Charlie Fox would team up with any day! — Zoe Sharp, author of the Charlie Fox novels An excellent fast-moving action thriller — Eric Crown, Founder of F500 company, Insight Enterprises
