All About Johnnie Jones Book Review:

All About Johnnie Jones This book is a result of an effort made by us towards making a contribution to the preservation and repair of original classic literature. In an attempt to preserve, improve and recreate the original content, we have worked towards: 1. Type-setting & Reformatting: The complete work has been re-designed via professional layout, formatting and type-setting tools to re-create the same edition with rich typography, graphics, high quality images, and table elements, giving our readers the feel of holding a 'fresh and newly' reprinted and/or revised edition, as opposed to other scanned & printed (Optical Character Recognition - OCR) reproductions. 2. Correction of imperfections: As the work was re-created from the scratch, therefore, it was vetted to rectify certain conventional norms with regard to typographical mistakes, hyphenations, punctuations, blurred images, missing content/pages, and/or other related subject matters, upon our consideration. Every attempt was made to rectify the imperfections related to omitted constructs in the original edition via other references. However, a few of such imperfections which could not be rectified due to intentional\unintentional omission of content in the original edition, were inherited and preserved from the original work to maintain the authenticity and construct, relevant to the work. We believe that this work holds historical, cultural and/or intellectual importance in the literary works community, therefore despite the oddities, we accounted the work for print as a part of our continuing effort towards preservation of literary work and our contribution towards the development of the society as a whole, driven by our beliefs. We are grateful to our readers for putting their faith in us and accepting our imperfections with regard to preservation of the historical content. HAPPY READING!

One Equal Eternity Book Review:

Innovate and work hard to survive- this very terse statement is the truth by which Planet Earth functions. What holds true for all species is also valid for all organizations and its employees. Vicky the protagonist of this novel One Equal Eternity learns this truth in his battle to hold on to his job in a fictional hi-tech electronics company based in Anaheim, California that is going through lean times and is considering downsizing and outsourcing. He has to finish the design of a graphics controller which is the heart of a integrated circuit for a new product the company plans to manufacture, sell and grab a monopoly in the market to survive. He is in a race against time since some competitors were also designing a similar and perhaps better graphics controller. But life had other challenges for Vicky. His professional life collides with his love life and slows down his work on the integrated circuit design project. Two women enter his life, Stella and Melanie. Stella, the novel's centrepiece is a beautiful, pure-hearted and innocent Executive Assistant in the Technology Division who is idealistic about life and about love. Melanie, the novel's counterpoint is a strong willed woman. She is practical about life and also about love. Vicky has to not only decide if his head is more important than his heart but also which woman he should give his life and love to. With hard work as his friend and philosophy as his guide at this crucial point of his life Vicky makes his choice. A rapid sequence of actions then ensues and takes us to the climactic end. The novel raises a number of questions some of which are answered at the novel's end. Has anyone made the right choice? In life are there any right choices? Is the choice of philosophy as a tool for the resolution of the crisis triggered off in one's heart correct? Can modern life afford one the luxury of being idealistic? Are the economic reasons justifying outsourcing tenable? We understand these questions better and get some answers, at the novel's end. The final outcome focuses our attention on a simple truth- despite life being an uncertain voyage often requiring one to make a difficult choice, the choice once made is the correct one; life will go on, and if we resolutely walk along the chosen path, love will survive, endure, and lead us towards "One Equal Eternity."

Beyond Forgetting Book Review:

•What would you do if the hero of your family was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease? •Would you call up the nearest nursing home? •Would you stop everything and become the lifeline for this person, for the rest of his or her life? Christine Zimmerman made that choice. She chose to drop college temporarily, and take the lead in caring for her beloved grandfather after he was unable to live alone due to Alzheimer's disease. In Beyond Forgetting you will read a harrowing tale—first of a kind and brilliant man's love for his granddaughter, and of her selfless return of that love. You will laugh and cry along with the Nelson family as that once-formidable man experiences many surprising, upsetting, and sometimes fascinating changes. You will be astounded by the admirable strength of Zimmerman in the face of shock, frustration, sadness, and guilt. Finally, you will watch her grandfather undergo the downward turn that makes Alzheimer's a singularly devastating illness. Alzheimer's is a cruel disease that can rob the sufferer of his dignity, memory, strength, and even basic functions. Beyond Forgetting is an important book with something to teach everyone. Never macabre, maudlin, or miserable, the book maintains a positive, loving tone. It is a rare insight into an often-closed moment in the hardest part of many people's lives. If you have a loved one with Alzheimer's disease, or know someone who does, it should be required reading.

Material Things Book Review:

When Cathy was growing up, a change was happening in society. Institutions that housed the mentally ill were being shut down and the mentally ill were being mainstreamed into society. Only the most acute and the most unstable were kept confined. Everything was tried to keep her family together in Massachusetts, but when her mothers psychosis became disabling and she was institutionalized in Danvers Massachusetts Mental Institute, she moved with her siblings to her fathers boyhood home in Connecticut where he lived. A magical place, Cathy explored the time capsule, that was her new home. It was the oldest house on the street, built in the 1920's, bought by her grandmother where she raised him and his sister. With a few years of stability to build confidence, she then struggled through her fathers and her brothers problems with mental illness. However, she found many friends and their families willing to help her. Set in the quaint countryside and coastal Connecticut towns of Brookfield and Devon in the 1970's, Cathy and her friends find adventures to create a happy and rich childhood inspite of the disappointments and lack that is inherent to dysfunctional families. Sure to have you laughing and crying, this book will leave you with hope that there really is a bucket of gold at the end of the rainbow if only we are bold enough to follow it.

From Grief to Joy Book Review:

Donna's story is an elegant illustration of how to recognize that, despite how it may seem, the world around you is not coming apart; it is just the turbulence that is necessary to project you into the next level of life. Do not be afraid of what this life brings you. Use it, and know that in the realm of uncertainty, your destiny is found. Donna walks this path. She has experienced it first hand, and her message is a powerful communication inspired by practice. Upon finishing this book, you will know more than you imagined possible about the power of life, faith, love and compassion. – From the Foreword by Dr. David Morehouse, Founder of Remote Viewing Technologies, and author of "Psychic Warrior"
