Ancient Book of Enoch Book Review:

The Holy Spirit inspired Jude to quote Enoch for a reason. The Ancient Book of Enoch opens by addressing those in the Tribulation period. It contains numerous prophecies about the flood and fire judgments, and the two comings of the Messiah. It teaches that the Messiah is the Son of God and that He will shed His blood to redeem us and even predicts the generation that this would occur! The book of Enoch prophesies a window of time in which the Second Coming would occur and prophesies that there will be twenty-three Israeli Prime Ministers ruling in fifty-eight terms from AD 1948 to the beginning of the Tribulation period, and much more. Even though it prophecies that the Bible would be created and says we will be judged by our obedience to the Bible, it also makes it clear that this book is not to be added to the Canon of Scripture. The Ancient Book of Enoch recounts the history of the angels that fell in the days of Jared, Enoch's father. It testifies to their marriages with human women and their genetic experiments. This commentary includes a previously unknown chapter from the Dead Sea Scrolls that actually explains how they did their genetic tampering. The commentary is from a fundamentalist Christian view, brought to you by Biblefacts Ministries, biblefacts.org.

The Book of Giants Book Review:

Among the first seven scrolls discovered in the caves of Qumran at the Dead Sea is a scroll given the name, "The Book of Giants." It is thought to have been based on the Book of Enoch, a pseudepigraphical Jewish work from the 3rd century BCE. The Book of Giants, like the Book of Enoch, concerns itself with the Nephilim, which are the offspring of fallen angels, who are called the Watchers. Two main versions of the text exist. The Dead Sea version is written in Aramaic. Another version has been found written in middle Persian, adapted from the Aramaic to fit into the Manichean religion. Both versions will be examined.Following theories speculating that the Book of Giants was once part of the Book of Enoch, we will attempt to place the two texts back together to render the complete story of the Watchers and the Nephilim. We will discover the history and contributions of these ancient scrolls and look carefully at their content and meaning. Throughout the combined texts of the Book of Giants and the Book of Enoch we will examine all the biblical and apocryphal references and parallels within the text. The result is an in-depth and panoramic view of the Angels, the Watchers, and the Nephilim, and how one of the giants of the Nephilim race may have survived the flood intended to cleanse the Earth of their horror.

The Flat Earth as Key to Decrypt the Book of Enoch Book Review:

Shortly after accepting the flat earth as a model for the world, I decided to revisit the Book of the Courses of the Heavenly Luminaries to see if my new understanding would somehow mirror what Enoch was sharing as a motion for the sun and moon. As I began to read chapters 71-82, I found to my utter amazement that I was able to grasp those passages. I knew then that the vision that the angel Uriel had shown to Enoch could only be deciphered if one were to imagine EnochÕs description of the revolution of the sun and the moon. As seen from above the flat circular plane of the earth as described by Isaiah; and that Enoch must have been taken up to perhaps where Polaris is, centered directly above the North Pole, and while looking down at the backdrop of the earth, was instructed on the motions of both the sun and moon. Without such conception, it is in my opinion impossible to apply these descriptions to the model of the earth as a spherical planet.

The Book of Enoch Book Review:

"The Book of Enoch" is not part of the biblical canon as used by Jews, apart from Beta Israel. Most Christian denominations and traditions may accept the Books of Enoch as having some historical or theological interest, but they generally regard the Books of Enoch as non-canonical or non-inspired. It is regarded as canonical by the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church and Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church, but not by any other Christian groups. It is wholly extant only in the Ge'ez language, with Aramaic fragments from the Dead Sea Scrolls and a few Greek and Latin fragments. For this and other reasons, the traditional Ethiopian belief is that the original language of the work was Ge'ez, whereas non-Ethiopian scholars tend to assert that it was first written in either Aramaic or Hebrew; Ephraim Isaac suggests that the Book of Enoch, like the Book of Daniel, was composed partially in Aramaic and partially in Hebrew. No Hebrew version is known to have survived. It is asserted in the book itself that its author was Enoch, before the Biblical Flood.Although evidently widely known during the development of the Hebrew Bible canon, 1 Enoch was excluded from both the formal canon of the Tanakh and the typical canon of the Septuagint and therefore, also from the writings known today as the Deuterocanon. One possible reason for Jewish rejection of the book might be the textual nature of several early sections of the book that make use of material from the Torah; for example, 1 En 1 is a midrash of Deuteronomy 33. The content, particularly detailed descriptions of fallen angels, would also be a reason for rejection from the Hebrew canon at this period - as illustrated by the comments of Trypho the Jew when debating with Justin Martyr on this subject: "The utterances of God are holy, but your expositions are mere contrivances, as is plain from what has been explained by you; nay, even blasphemies, for you assert that angels sinned and revolted from God." (Dialogue 79)The Book of Enoch was considered as scripture in the Epistle of Barnabas (16:4) and by many of the early Church Fathers, such as Athenagoras, Clement of Alexandria, Irenaeus and Tertullian, who wrote c. 200 that the Book of Enoch had been rejected by the Jews because it contained prophecies pertaining to Christ. However, later Fathers denied the canonicity of the book, and some even considered the Epistle of Jude uncanonical because it refers to an "apocryphal" work.

The Book of Enoch Nat Book Review:

Experience the ultimate lost Christian scripture! Taken out of the Jewish Canon by the Sanhedrin just after Jesus' time because if the incredibly accurate prophesies for Jesus. The Pharisees feared that the people would read the text and discover how closely Jesus matched the Messiah described by the prophet Enoch, they made every effort to bury this lost book. It is still part of the Coptic churches canon, an ancient church started by the apostle John. The first paragraph of this lost book is quoted already in the Christian scriptures, in the book of Jude. Also Peter makes references to the book in his letter. This is everything you could want from a lost book and more. Learn about the hidden history of the Earth, sin, and God's relationship to mankind. Don't miss out! Not only does Jesus reference The Book of Enoch in the Gospels and his teachings; but also Jude, the brother of Jesus, directly quotes from it in the Book of Jude, the second to the last book of the New Testament. The similarities from the ancient Book of Enoch and the New Testament simply cannot be ignored. Keep in mind that even today we have copies of the Book of Enoch that are older than Jesus. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. (Mat 5:5) The elect shall possess light, joy and peace, and they shall inherit the earth. (Enoch 5:7 ) The Father judges no man, but has committed all judgment unto the Son (John 5:22) The principal part of the judgment was assigned to him, the Son of Man. (Enoch 69:27 ) ...Shall inherit everlasting life. ...Those who will inherit eternal life (Enoch 40:9 ) Woe unto you that are rich! For you have received your comfort. (Luke 6:24) Woe to you who are rich, for in your riches have you trusted; but from your riches you shall be removed. (Enoch 94:8) You also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. (Mat. 19:28) I will place each of them on a throne of glory. (Enoch 108:12 ) Woe unto that man through whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It had been good for that man if he had not been born. (Mat. 26:24) Where will the habitation of sinners be . . . who have rejected the Lord of Spirits? It would have been better for them, had they never been born. (Enoch 38:2) ...between us and you there is a great gulf fixed. (Luke 16:26) ...by a chasm . . . are their souls are separated (Enoch 22: 9,11) In my Father's house are many mansions (John 14:2) In that day shall the Elect One sit upon a throne of glory, and shall choose their conditions and countless habitations. (Enoch 45:3 ) ...that you may be called the children of light (John 12:36) ...the good from the generation of light (Enoch 108:11 ) ...the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. (John 4:14) ...all the thirsty drank, and were filled with wisdom, having their habitation with the righteous, the elect, and the holy. (Enoch 48:1 ) The one direct quote in the New Testament is by Jude, a brother of Jesus Christ: Jude 1:14-15, quoting Enoch 1:9 "And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches, which ungodly sinners have spoken against him."

Book of Enoch s Secrets Book Review:

Enoch - חנוך, Chanoch or Hanokh - is the name given to one of the most peculiar and mysterious biblical characters in Scripture. He was born, according to the Jewish writings, in the seventh generation after Adam, being the son of Jared, and father of Methuselah.Enoch is the subject of many Jewish and Christian traditions. He was considered the author of the Book of Enoch and also called Enoch the scribe of judgment.According to the Hebrew written tradition called Tanakh, reported in Genesis, chapter 5, verses 22-24, Enoch would have been taken by God so that he would not experience death and would have been spared the wrath of the flood:"And Enoch walked with God, after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters. And all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. And Enoch walked with God; and he appeared no more, because God took him. There are two extraordinary aspects in Enoch's account, focused on in these verses, which have not been focused on in other generations: the indications in the text that he "walked with God" and the fact that he supposedly would not have died, because "God took him. These accounts were the origin of many fables and midrashim (deeper rabbinical studies) of wise Jews over the centuries. Many of them were very bothered by the fact that Enoch "only" lived 365 years, a short life span for his time, according to the book of Genesis.About this biblical character there are also the apocryphal pseudoepigraphic books: "Book of Enoch I" and "Book of Enoch II", which are part of the canon of some religious groups, mainly the Christians of Ethiopia", but which were rejected by the Christians, because they were not inspired by the Holy Spirit and the Hebrews, because they were particularly troublesome from the political point of view. However, the epistle of Judas, in the biblical New Testament, makes express mention of the Book of Enoch, making a brief quotation in verses 14 and 15 of its single chapter. According to The Book of Enoch: with comparative study of the main translations, there are several books attributed to Enoch, three of which are the best known: The Book of Enoch (or Ethiopian Enoch or Enoch 1), The Second Book of Enoch (or Slavonic Enoch) and The Third Book of Enoch (or Hebrew Enoch). The best known is the first one, which is included in the Ethiopian bible, is considered authentic by the Jews of Ethiopia and was considered authentic by the Jews until about the year 200, having been part of the Hebrew biblical corpus until that time and having been removed by a rabbi, for several reasons, including politics. About 200 years later, St. Jerome, in charge of creating the Christian bible, based himself on the principle of "Hebrew truth", which meant that the books considered authentic by the Jews (from the Old Testament) were authentic. For this reason, the Book of Enoch fell into oblivion in the West, until it was found more than a thousand years later. The Book of Enoch (Enoch 1) was first translated and published in Brazil in 1982. The Book of Enoch is extremely controversial, because it addresses sexual and racial issues. One of the controversies is that of the fallen angels who descended from heaven to have sexual relations with women they considered attractive and generated giants that destroyed the Earth. Another polemic is that according to one passage, Adam and Eve had black children and Adam was white, which indicates that Eve was black.According to the account in Genesis about the age of the patriarchs, Seven and their children were still alive when Enoch was taken by God, as well as Methuselah and Lamech.

Complete Books of Enoch Book Review:

This is a NEW (2010) easy-to-read translation by ancient languages scholar Dr. A. Nyland and is NOT one of the many Public Domain translations of Enoch NOR IS IT A REWORDED PUBLIC DOMAIN VERSION of Enoch. Great advances which have been made in ancient word meaning in the last twenty years were unknown to the translators of the public domain versions of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. There are copious background notes and cross references to Bible verses. This book is an easy to read translation with cross references and notes.Despite the current trend for non-translators to reproduce public domain versions (both as is and disguised by slight rewording) as a commercial venture, be aware that such public domain versions do not take advantage of recent scholarship in word meaning or any corrections in translation. This new translation by Dr. A. Nyland contains all three books of Enoch:1 Enoch (Also called The Ethiopic Book of Enoch)2 Enoch (Also called The Slavonic Book of Enoch, The Secrets of Enoch). This volume contains the extended version of 2 Enoch, The Exaltation of Melchizedek.3 Enoch (Also called The Hebrew Book of Enoch)Note that this is Dr. Nyland's translation and NOT a public domain work.1 Enoch tells of the Watchers, a class of angel, who taught humans weapons, spell potions, root cuttings, astrology, astronomy, and alchemies. The Watchers also slept with human women and produced the Nephilim. For this, they were imprisoned and cast into Tartarus. This is also mentioned in the New Testament. In 2 Enoch, two angels take Enoch through the 7 heavens. This volume contains the extended version of 2 Enoch, The Exaltation of Melchizedek. In 3 Enoch, Enoch ascends to heaven and is transformed into the angel Metatron. This is about the Merkabah and is of interest to Kabbalists. People interested in Theosophy and Rosicrucianism will find this book invaluable. The Complete Books of Enoch is also an invaluable reference for those interested in Theology and it is also a valuable Christian reference.Dr. A. Nyland is an ancient language scholar and lexicographer who served as Faculty at the University of New England, Australia. Dr. Nyland is also the translator of "The Source New Testament with Extensive Notes on Greek Word Meaning," "The Book of Jubilees," "The Gospel of Thomas," the ancient Hittite "Kikkuli Text," and "The Psalms: Translation with Notes."

The Three Books of Enoch and the Book of Giants Book Review:

This book includes 1 Enoch: The Ethiopic Book of Enoch; 2 Enoch: The Slavonic Book of the Secrets of Enoch; 3 Enoch: The Hebrew Book of Enoch; and versions of the Book of Giants. The 1st Book of Enoch, the Ethiopic Book of Enoch, or 1 Enoch is more known as simply the Book of Enoch. Although this book is considered apocryphal for the Western canon, it is contained in the Ethiopic Bible. It was considered sacred by some important first followers of Christ but it was left out of the Bible and disappeared for centuries until it was rediscovered in 1773 in Ethiopic. This manuscript was first translated into English in the 1820s and into German in the 1830s. According to most scholars, part of it was written in third century BCE and part of it in the first century CE (the part related to the Son of Man). Although the oldest complete copies of 1 Enoch are K-9 or Kebran 9, dated late fourteenth early fifteenth century and Ethiopian Monastic Microfilm Library (EMML 2080) of the fifteenth or fourteenth century, fragments found in Qumram in the 1950s are more than 2000 years old. Other old important manuscripts are Abbadianus 55 (possibly fifteenth century) and British Museum Orient 485 (first half of the sixteenth century). The 2nd Book of Enoch, the Slavonic Enoch, or 2 Enoch, is another apocryphal book, found complete only in Old Slavonic manuscripts, and it was once present in the Old Slavonic Bible. It's usually dated to the first century CE although Matthew Black in The Oxford Guide to People & Places of the Bible state that there is no manuscript "earlier than the fourteenth century BE." The 3rd Book of Enoch, the Hebrew Enoch, or 3 Enoch, is a Rabbinic text originally written in Hebrew usually dated to the fifth century CE. Some experts believe it was written by Rabbi Ishmael (second century CE), familiar with both 1 Enoch and 2 Enoch. The Book of Giants contains a narrative that involves the antediluvian giant offspring originally known from both the Genesis and the Book of Enoch. The Book of Giants resembles particularly 1 Enoch: The First Book of Enoch.

The Bible Vs The Book of Enoch Book Review:

The Book of Enoch is an ancient text that many are convinced should be considered as scripture. Some even claim the Book of Enoch was once in the Bible and advocate for its acceptance as God's inspired word. Are these advocates right? Is the Book of Enoch inspired scripture? Should the Book of Enoch be in the Bible? In The Bible Vs. The Book of Enoch, we will compare teachings found in the Book of Enoch with the Bible to see if they agree. We will also put the Book of Enoch through the Deuteronomy false prophet test. Will it pass? Get the book to find out. This small book is full of content that will convince any advocate of the Book of Enoch to rethink their support for this dangerous text. The Book is designed to summarize critical and alarming facts to hopefully steer Bible believers away from the multitude of false teachings found in the Book of Enoch. This book is a compact witnessing and study tool that can be shared with others in a one-on-one or group study. Some topics discussed will include: -- The Bible Vs. The Book of Enoch on specific creation passages.-- The Bible Vs. The Book of Enoch on the fall of humanity. -- The Bible Vs. The Book of Enoch on the Flood, Noah, and the Ark. -- Are the Sons of God angels? -- Strange, weird, and unbiblical concepts found in the Book of Enoch.-- A shocking revelation of who the Book of Enoch claims is the Messiah. -- Did Jude and Peter quote from the Book of Enoch or another source? What are those sources?-- Did the children of the angels become demons? -- The Biblical hell compared to the Book of Enoch's concept of hell. -- And much more..The author hopes that this book will prevent believers from getting caught up in the false doctrines and untruthful information found in the Book of Enoch by showing how the Bible and the Book of Enoch teach a very different message.

Lost Books of the Bible and The Forgotten Books of Eden Book Review:

2020 Reprint of 1926 Editions. Full facsimile of the original editions and not reproduced with Optical Recognition software. This edition includes two titles published into one bound volume. Rutherford Hayes Platt, in the preface to his 1963 reprint of this work, states: "First issued in 1926, this is the most popular collection of apocryphal and pseudepigraphal literature ever published." The translations were first published, under this title, by an unknown editor in The Lost Books of the Bible Cleveland 1926, but the translations had previously been published many times. The book is, essentially, a combined reprint of earlier works. The first half, Lost Books of the Bible, covers the New Testament. The second half of the book, The Forgotten Books of Eden, includes a translation originally published in 1882 of the "First and Second Books of Adam and Eve", translated first from ancient Ethiopic to German and then into English by Solomon Caesar Malan, and a number of items of Old Testament pseudepigrapha, such as reprinted in the second volume of R.H. Charles's Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha of the Old Testament (Oxford, 1913).
