Beneath His Wings Book Review:

Beneath His Wings is the story of my life. Quoting from a bio someone else wrote: "Jenny Pruitt is revered in real estate circles and beyond as a community advocate and benefactor, and respected nationally as a visionary leader. From humble beginnings--the loss of her father, rejection by peers, helping her single mother in the post-War years as a child--to huge challenges later in her life--a bout with cancer and a lawsuit with one of the richest men in the world--she rose to unparalleled heights in the business world. She operates her company from the perspective of servant leadership and with godly practices--managing, mentoring, and encouraging others to be the best they can be while modeling those practices in her personal and professional life. Despite her numerous awards and accolades, Jenny gives all the glory for her success to God, whom she consults daily for guidance and direction. This book is a part of her rich legacy.

The Shadow of His Wings Book Review:

We had to do it. We had to reprint this book. Rarely has a book had such an impact on so many of us here at Ignatius Press. It is one of the most powerful and moving books we have come across. If you can only buy one book this season, this must be the one. Here is the astonishing true story of the harrowing experiences of a young German seminarian drafted into Hitler's dreaded SS at the onset of World War II. Without betraying his Christian ideals, against all odds, and in the face of Evil, Gereon Goldmann was able to complete his priestly training, be ordained, and secretly minister to German Catholic soldiers and innocent civilian victims caught up in the horrors of war. How it all came to pass will astound you. Father Goldmann tells of his own incredible experiences of the trials of war, his many escapes from almost certain death, and the diabolical persecution that he and his fellow Catholic soldiers encountered on account of their faith. What emerges is an extraordinary witness to the workings of Divine Providence and the undying power of love, prayer, faith, and sacrifice. Illustrated

Teaching Beneath His Wings Book Review:

This book is to share the experiences of a praying school teacher, to impart the wisdom and knowledge learned along a long thirty-eight year journey. To inspire those in the classroom not to give up (follow your dream) and remind those considering entering the academy of teaching that it is not an occupation to be taken lightly, The book also strives to inform parents how instrumental they are in their child's education. The heart, body, minds, and soul must be invested into shaping the lives of young youth in America today. No doubt the classroom has changed over the course of these thirty years, but the goal, the aim, and mission remain the same, to light the lamp of ingenuity, inspire curiosity, nurture critical thought, and remind us all that we are brilliant, bright scholars in the eyes of the Lord. I pray that each life reading this text changes in ways beyond measure. Remember the adage each one, teach one, and knowledge will spread like fire. "Teaching Beneath His Wings" is not an autobiography, but it does have anecdotes from my life.

This is book 10 of the Eternal Flames Maddox series, you should read Eternal Flames 1-14 and book 1-9 of Eternal Flames Maddox before this book. Unwilling to be his mates dirty little secret any longer, Sutton walks away, telling Casimir he's done. Casimir refuses to believe that Sutton could just leave him like that and thinks Sut only needs a few days to cool off. However when reality sets in Casimir realizes he has made a terrible mistake, when Sutton refuses to talk to him or even look in his direction. When Sutton goes out on a rescue call to a local mine there is a cave in which leaves Sutton trapped with four other men in desperate need of medical attention. Casimir practically goes insane trying to get his man out alive. When the threat of losing Sutton for good hits Casimir, he promises not only to himself but to his mate, that he will do whatever he has to do to make things up to Sutton and win him back. He can only hope that if Sutton survives, that he will be willing to give Casimir one more chance, because the alternative is just too devastating to consider.

Sheltered Beneath His Wings Book Review:

In the midst of chaos in years from the past, God showed me love. A small glimpse of light in the shadows of darkness that saved my life. Going from depression, addiction, self-hate, self-harm, and extreme anger. A lifelong progression of tears and laughter. Praise, thanks, and healing in times of the loss of a child. A young man's first glimpse of God's light while in prison. All through the words of heartfelt poetry. Now in the face of a pandemic where we cannot attend church and worship together, you and I can hold hands while social distancing and press closer to God. We can shut out the world around us for a short time and take a minute to nourish our hearts, souls, and minds. We are all the same with common struggles. These words of poetry were written for self-help, for praise, and for healing. Testimony of the signs and wonders God shows his children and wants to show you. For the lost and those who are found. For the weary and the strong. A fountain of healing water to drink from. There is hope in the darkest places, even in this day and age. Chase depression away, and replace it with words of love. There is something for everyone within these pages. Miracles, blessings, and healing await you.

I long...to take refuge in the shelter of your wings. The Book of Psalms One of the most encouraging metaphors for divine love is that of finding shelter under the protection of God's wings. On every page of this uplifting gift book, the gentle artwork of Carolyn Shores Wright tenderly reminds readers that God cares not only for the birds of the air but so much more for His children. Loving quotations, reassuring Scripture, and calming prose thoughtfully express the message that God longs to show compassion and care, rest and refuge to those who are hurting. On Wings of Devotion The Codebreakers Book 2 Book Review:

All of England thinks Phillip Camden a monster--a man who deliberately caused the deaths of his squadron. But as nurse Arabelle Denler watches the so-dubbed "Black Heart" every day, she sees something far different: a hurting man desperate for mercy. And when their paths twist together and he declares himself her new protector, she realizes she has her own role to play in his healing. Phillip Camden would have preferred to die that day with his squadron rather than be recruited to the Admiralty's codebreaking division. The threats he receives daily are no great surprise and, in his opinion, well deserved. What comes as a shock is the reborn desire to truly live that Arabelle inspires in him. But when an old acquaintance shows up and seems set on using him in a plot that has the codebreakers of Room 40 in a frenzy, new affections are put to the test.

Presidential Spirit Book Review:

Gina has no intention of marrying again following a disastrous divorce. She wants to focus on raising her son and building a career, not falling in love. But then she meets a spirited airman named David Scheff and everything changes. It doesn't take long for him to convince her that marrying her soul mate might be a good idea after all. A member of the Air Force, David eventually becomes the flight chief for Air Force One, giving Gina the opportunity to shake hands with presidents William Jefferson Clinton and George W. Bush. It's a great adventure! Still, once David retires from the military, they're ready to enjoy a quieter life on a small farm in Ohio. Life has a way of throwing you off-course, though, and when David is diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer, Gina learns the true meaning of standing by her husband not only in health but in sickness too. As Gina struggles to not fall apart as they face one devastating letdown after another, David shows her how to have grace under pressure and that you don't need actual wings or even a plane to fly above your circumstances. David always knew he had the spirit of an eagle. This story tells how Gina discovered just how right he was.
