Glad One Book Review:

One crazy old lady. Two gin and tonics. Three derelict beach-bum friends. Will Val's fourth stab at starting over add up to a big fat zero?St. Pete Beach attracts weirdos like mosquitos to a bug zapper. But when thrice-divorced native Val Fremden feels the tug to fly back to her old stomping grounds, she finds everyone and everything she knew squashed under the heels of change. With nothing to go on but her own dry sense of humor and the life coach advice of a beer-guzzling old lady she meets at the beach, can things get any weirder? "Picture Bridget Jones in a bikini surrounded by rednecks and you've got Glad One!" A.F.If you like wacky, deeply flawed characters and laugh-out-loud situations, you'll love Glad One! It's the second book in Margaret Lashley's irreverent Val & Pals Series.

The Glad Tidings Book Review:

Paul's letter to the Galatians is one of the most beautiful ever written, showing us the good news of the gospel, thereby magnifying God's great love to the human race. The author of this book, Dr. Ellet J. Waggoner, was not only an excellent physician but an evangelist and co-editor of The Signs of the Times. At the 1888 Minneapolis General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, young E. J. Waggoner delivered a series of lectures on the book of Galatians. The message of salvation only by faith in Jesus Christ was Martin Luther's great theme out of which was born the Protestant Reformation of the sixteenth century. The Glad Tidings reemphasizes this wonderful message and portrays the righteousness of Christ.

Glad Tidings of Muṣṭafā for the Shia of Murtaḍā Book Review:

The Following is the introduction of the author about the book: I was motivated to write this book because I saw that a large number of people gave themselves the title “Shia” without respecting this title or being aware of its rights. A sensible person is one who knows the value of that which he possesses, so he can honour it if it deserves to be honoured and he can treasure it if it deserves to be treasured, and he can protect it from anything that will ruin it. I intentionally collected the Ahadith that reveal the status of the Shia, the rewards and the honour that Allah has prepared for them in the highest levels of Paradise, and the status of the pious Imams in Allah’s eyes. Therefore, those who read this book will learn with certainty the value of a Shia, and thereby respect and honour this title and stay committed to their obligatory duties that they have as Shia. May those who benefit from the contents of this book increasingly pray for me. This book is entitled Bishāratul Muṣṭafā Le Shī'atil Murtaḍā (The Glad Tidings of Muṣṭafā for the Shia of Murtaḍā) and I have not included any Ḥadīth in it except the most authentic Aḥādith rom the most trusted scholars. I seek nothing but to please Allah and I ask nothing but the prayers of those who read this book. I desire nothing but to attain nearness to the best of the creation (the Messenger of Allah) and his purified family, the Imams of guidance. May Allah’s blessings be on them, to the extent of the number of every (grain of) sand and every stone. I ask Allah for piety and support, for He is the best supporter, who with His generosity, listens to prayers and grants them.

This saga exemplifies that conflicts with personal and client relations can cause all hell to break loose in the most meticulously maintained legal career. We couldnt wait for the next chapter. Being in the legal profession, reading this was like watching a horror movie: you wanted to look away for fear it could happen to you but you were too captivated to do it. -Tim and Carol Scholl This is a truly great book and a fascinating read. I went from joy and laughter to tears and outrage. I felt like I have known these characters all my life. Your voyage over the raging seas of his life will be unforgettable! The captain is Peeping Tom and the ships name is The Voyeur. - Mae Gibson Retired Secondary Educator Business Education, Speech, Drama & Journalism Nearly 50 years as a legal assistant and secretary in various law offices. Playful, Glad, and Free Book Review:

This book offers a critical analysis and reinterpretation of Karl Barth's theology of culture-the least studied aspect of his work-revealing his significance for contemporary work in theology of culture by applying his approach to the study of popular culture and entertainment. Grounding the study in Barth's eschatology, which proves more amenable to secular culture than other models, DeCou shows that Barth's approach recognized that the freedom of theology is qualified by the freedom of the Word and the freedom of secular culture. Barth therefore offers a "middle way" for evaluating and analyzing culture and religious forms. This book thus opens up a new avenue of interpretation of Barth and applies the insights of Barth's theology in fresh ways to the structures of contemporary culture and its products.

Let the Nations Be Glad! Book Review:

This new edition of a bestselling textbook (over 185,000 copies sold) draws on key biblical texts to demonstrate that worship is the ultimate goal of the church and that proper worship fuels missionary outreach. John Piper offers a biblical defense of God's supremacy in all things, providing readers with a sound theological foundation for missions. He examines whether Jesus is the only way to salvation and issues a passionate plea for God-centeredness in the missionary enterprise, seeking to define the scope of the task and the means for reaching "all nations." The third edition has been revised and expanded throughout and includes new material on the prosperity gospel. The book is essential reading for those involved in or preparing for missions work. It also offers enlightenment for college and seminary students, pastors, youth workers, campus ministers, and all who want to connect their labors to God's global purposes.

Wittgenstein on Words as Instruments Book Review:

Wittgenstein believed that his writing should not save other people the trouble of thinking for themselves. In this book the author attempts to de-mystify Wittgenstein and stimulate the reader's own ideas on the use of words as instruments. He looks particularly at Wittgenstein's use of words and his distrust of philosophical questions such as "what are we reporting about ourselves when we say we believe something?". In clear terms he advises students how to deal with difficulties about psychological words and interprets some of the more perplexing passages in "Investigations" and "Zettel."

Readers are sure to be enlightened, entertained and riveted to their seats as the writer magically takes them through a litany of experinces that are sure to permanently and positively change the fundamental way that they see life and the world around them. If Christian reading is your genre of choice, then truly this book will be perfect for you. Far warning: Be prepared to change the way you see the world and your surrounding forever! A tribute that is rarely, if ever, paid to a books of plays.
