Crew Resource Management Book Review:

The new edition of Crew Resource Management continues to focus on CRM in the cockpit, but also emphasizes that the concepts and training applications provide generic guidance and lessons learned for a wide variety of "crews" in the aviation system as well as in the complex and high-risk operations of many non-aviation settings. Long considered the "bible" in this field, much of the basic style and structure of the previous edition of Crew Resource Management is retained in the new edition. Textbooks are often heavily supplemented with or replaced entirely by course packs in advanced courses in the aviation field, as it is essential to provide students with cutting edge information from academic researchers, government agencies (FAA), pilot associations, and technology (Boeing, ALION). This edited textbook offers ideal coverage with first-hand information from each of these perspectives. Case examples, which are particularly important given the dangers inherent in real world aviation scenarios, are liberally supplied. An image collection and test bank make this the only text on the market with ancillary support. New material includes: international and cultural aspects of CRM; design and implementation of Line-Oriented Flight Training (LOFT); airline applications beyond the cockpit; spaceflight resource management; non-aviation applications; AQP; LOSA; and special issues pertaining to low-cost airline carriers. The second edition editors offer essential breath of experience in aviation human factors from multiple perspectives (academia, government, and private enterprise) and the contributors have all been chosen as experts in their fields who represent the diversity of the research of activities and organisational experience of CRM. The only CRM text on the market offering an up-to-date synthesis of primary source material New edition thoroughly updated and revised to include major new findings, complete with discussion of the international and cultural aspects of CRM, the design and implementation of LOFT Instructor website with testbank and image collection Liberal use of case examples

Wrecking Crew Book Review:

"You never know what's going to save you." After years of dingy nightclubs and drug addiction, John Albert and his hard-luck friends certainly never expected their salvation to arrive in the form of a pastime most often associated with Mom, God, and apple pie. Wrecking Crew -- a highly unusual chronicle of recovery and redemption -- documents the transformation of a group of musicians, struggling screenwriters, and wannabe actors into a competitive band of hardballers. For over a decade, it seemed to be enough: the narcotics, gambling, whores, and aimless rebellion. But as they stumbled into their thirties, the blithe pursuit of self-destruction had simply become exhausting to these battle-scarred denizens of the L.A. counterculture. The romantic squalor of being perpetually broken-down, periodically drug-addled, and irresponsible began to lose its charm. The idea of fielding a baseball team to compete in a hard-knocks amateur league seemed merely the latest in a string of half-hearted stabs at restoring order to their ragged lives. But this escapade was different. When these men donned their team uniforms, the old obsessions started to fade and something incredible began to happen. This is the unforgettable story of the Griffith Park Pirates.

Crew Book Review:

Every man's dream - to sail around the world. This is the story of one man who did it, sailing as crew on a number of boats. His adventures, misadventures, and insights into exotic cultures and the diverse personalities he meets along the way make for a fascinating read. During his 32,000 mile trip, he survived a collision, two groundings, numerous storms, and one obsessive compulsive captain. Despite the hardships, this book is a celebration of the diversity of our planet and its people. The author succeeds brilliantly in sharing his fascination with the ocean and its creatures, from a manta ray he encountered while diving on the Great Barrier Reef to the school of dolphins numbering in the hundreds in the South Pacific. His insights into the exotic cultures he encounters along the way are equally fascinating; a visit with the Kuna Indians of Panama, a feast in Tonga, tours of Buddhist Temples in Sri Lanka, and the magical majesty of Rhodes. An epic adventure that will leave the reader with a sense of wonder.

Chronicles of a Cabin Crew Book Review:

Chronicles of a Cabin Crew took almost two years to be concluded. It is the sequel of Underneath a Flight Attendant, which is Soraias biography and first novel. The author emphasizes the importance of some chapters on the introduction (foreword) of the book. Nostradamuss chapter is one of those also mentioned in the cover of this book. Soraia comes from a psychic/medium family and is openly sharing her premonitions for the near future (201314) with the world. She also finds herself very funny and loves to bring laughter into others peoples lives. Shes created this extroverted book that will entertain you and make you laugh rather than being just about her serious paranormal experiences. I keep telling people that I have no hidden agenda rather trying to spread the truth. My premonitions have never betrayed me. If Im looking forward to becoming famous, it is only with the purpose to enable my message to be heard and accepted without skepticism. I believe that we are at the edge of an era lacking love, but mostly understanding of God.
